How do I join?
All it takes to become a member of WAFCU is a minimum deposit of $10 in a Regular Savings Account. Once you join, you will be a member for life – no matter where you live or where you work in the future. If you are an individual interested in becoming a member of WAFCU, call us at 724-222-8064, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop by!
Why should I join?
Not only do we offer a full line of financial products and services (see all of them here), but we are also owned by our members – not stockholders. Money earned is given back in the form of competitive loan and share rates, as well as dividends.
Am I eligible to join?
You are eligible to become a member of the Washington Area FCU if you are currently employed by, are retired from, or are an immediate family member of the employees of the organizations listed here. If you don’t see your employer listed here, give us a call.
What if I am not affiliated with any of these organizations?
For more than 50 years, we’ve provided service and value to our members and we’d love to do the same for you! Share the story of WAFCU with your HR director or manager and help your employer become part of the WAFCU family. Organizations such as the many listed below offer WAFCU membership in their benefits package. Our dedicated staff is ready to help your company get started. How do I join if I am an employer?
In an ever-changing world, employers today must offer benefits that will meet the needs of a large group of diverse individuals. By offering a credit union membership, your company will set itself apart from the majority. Employees and their family members will be able to use WAFCU as their primary institution and, by utilizing our services, you will be able to reduce payroll and direct deposit processing costs.
